W/A Daggers?
Hi, just a short question:
Are there any effective W/A builds for light PvPing that employ daggers as their favoured weapons? True, you can't ever get Dagger Mastery over 12, but adrenal skills could be charged much, much faster due to the daggers' high attack speed and the additional chance to double strike.
My first hunch was to build around Strength, Dagger Mastery and maybe also Tactics, 'Fear Me' icm 'Frenzy' is said to be quite nice. But any other suggestions would be very welcome as I never played a Warrior before, the Sin is my only combat experience. I'm no Narutard, but a bit of extra durability is always welcome
Let rip!

... dagger Warriors suck, simply put.
Best thing you could possibly do is some shoddy excuse for a damage dealer revolving around Flourish or Warrior's Endurance.
Even then, it'd suck.

so, you are getting rid of 16 armor(shield), lowering your damage, and sucking at energy(no Critical Strikes regen on war) for a negligible speed buff/adren recharge. The point of adren buffs is to charge sword/axe skill chains. You won't get those with daggers.
If you want to use daggers effectively, make a sin. The only cross-class weapons I've seen work WELL are scythe sins(the crit buffs+mystic regen) and bunny thumpers/rampaging spearchucker rangers. Critical agility should be enough of an armor buff, if you play a sin right. That or....-sigh-....bring Flashing Blades.
The only thing worse than a dagger warrior is a katana sin.

And SS wars using a scythe? They were all the rage in PvP not so long ago.

The warrior using daggers just isn't optimally effective. It looks pretty when you spin around and do the sin animations, but so does a monk doing the same thing...and an ele...but it still is like putting a dress on a man.
It will never look right. Kilts don't count.

Bah, don't hate on the 'sin animations! You're just jealous because I did a backflip off of your face.
Seriously though, the only thing I can even conceive of that would get any sort of benefit from using daggers would probably be a Me/A IW build. Double strikes would work out.
Other than that (and even that might be a bit of a stretch, I dunno), nobody should be using daggers except for us.

if you want another class to use daggers let it be ranger, with reduced energy cost of dagger attacks and better armor you can do some nice pressure...

Actully, you can run a decent W/A build not much healing but all you do is
Golden Pheonix Horns of the Ox Falling Spider Blades of steel Flourish BOA Way of Perfection and Res sig
16-Strength
12-Dagger Mastery
then there you are making go WTF at you when you kill them
dont just say "omg warrior with daggers yeah right"

I'm not sure about PvP but PvE dagger eilding on a warrior can be fun, just stick on warriors endurance add any old attack skills (+42 power attack for example) and away you, same principle with scythes.

LOL You guys kill me I use a dagger warrior in PVP all the time. I absolutely love making fools outa people that say "what a warrior with daggers LOL" and I easily kill them. I have no probs adding bleeding, rip stance and death blossom while dodging every attack along with quick regen if needed and unlimited energy oh and one other thing I pop 35 health every critical ( and u would be surprised how often warriors do crit with daggers) I am not saying they crit as much as sins but they do seem to crit with a strength of 13 more than u think.

35 health is not that much
Strength does not affect your critical chance. Only high dagger mastery and critical strikes does.
Dagger warriors certainly work, just not that well. I've played a monk on the receiving end of one, and they really are laughable compared to a good sin, or a good warrior.

Why do people want to put daggers on EVERYTHING? In my 12 month GW career ive seen:
D/A
W/A
E/A
N/A
Mo/A
R/A
All were carrying daggers, it's so tiresome :P

The only other class that I've seen work well wield daggers other than the Assassin, is the Ranger. Evades and low energy attack skills help the Ranger make his/her case with daggers. What do the warriors get? AP, which is minimal, and more armor, but you're not going to be using any skills that'll help you survive because you're too busy trying to get an attack combination off without running out of energy. It's been done before. But then again, what hasn't? (Yes, W/P has been tried before too..)

Keep scythes on dervs.
Bows on rangers.
Daggers on sins.
Swords/axes on warriors.
Hammers and spears on Rangers is ok.
But stop with the mixandmatch stuff. It just makes it less satisfying to win against.
The sins crit a whole lot more with dags, and thus thats why they use them.

Ooh! I tried this one. I believe the skill I used was Warrior's Endurance. And some basic dagger skills, try that, and if it doesn't work, stick to something your good at.

There's always someone worse, I suppose.
Yes it was already said, but I can't resist saying it too: Strength has no effect whatsoever on critical chance. At 12 Dagger mastery, you have roughly a 15% chance to crit.
Really the only viable time to use a weapon belonging to a different class is when you need a specific primary attribute. Under any other circumstances, you're gimping yourself compared to other classes with that same weapon. Certainly Strength is nothing to go out of your way for.

QFT. Don't listen to anyone else who says they rip through people with dagger warriors. Just look at their guilds, and you'll find they're mostly PvE'rs with little high level PvP experience.
